We want to make you aware of an important announcement that may impact many families across New Jersey.
The state has officially announced that effective August 1st, 2025, it will no longer fund new applications for child care assistance. This means any family that applies after July 31st will no longer be eligible to receive tuition support through the state’s child care subsidy program.
If you or someone you know is considering applying for tuition assistance to enroll your child in our preschool, we strongly urge you to submit your application before the July 31st deadline.
At Big Smiles, we believe every child deserves access to quality early education, and this program has helped many families afford the care and learning their children need to thrive. We don’t want any of our families to miss out on this opportunity.
✅ What You Can Do Now:
- Visit your county resource and referral agency’s website (Programs for Parents, 4C’s, Office for Children, etc) to learn about eligibility and apply.
- Reach out to our office if you need guidance or documentation for your application.
- Share this information with friends or family who may benefit.
If you’re already receiving assistance, this change does not affect current approvals. Only new applications after August 1st will be denied funding.
